Because You Said So
BibleWithLife

[Verse 1]

Male lead, sparse acoustic guitar
I worked all night till morning came
With tired bones and empty hands
The nets were clean, the boat was still
No fish to show, no strength to stand
Then You stepped into my boat
And taught the crowd beside the sea
When every voice had faded out
You turned and spoke to me
[Pre-Chorus]

Male lead, female harmony enters softly on last two lines
Go deeper now
Let down your nets again
I knew these waves
But You knew where they end
[Chorus]

Male lead with female harmony, full band enters
So I cast the nets
Because You said so
Not because I saw
Not because I felt strong
I cast the nets
Because You said so
The water came alive
And my empty night was gone
The nets were breaking
My heart was waking
Grace came rushing through
I cast the nets
Because You said so
[Verse 2]

Male lead, rhythm lifts

The catch came in like silver rain
The boats were sinking in the light
I fell down low beneath Your feet
Shaking in Your holy sight
But You reached down and lifted me
You called me past my fear
You said, Simon, follow Me
Your life begins right here
[Short Chorus]

So I cast the nets
Because You said so
The water came alive
And my empty night was gone
[Bridge]

I left the boat
I left the shore
I left the life
I knew before
I chased the fish
But You chased me
You took my yes
And set me free
[Final Chorus]

So I cast the nets
Because You said so
Not because I knew
Not because I felt strong
I cast the nets
Because You said so
The water shook with mercy
And my heart was overcome
The nets were breaking
My soul was waking
Grace came rushing through
I cast the nets
Because You said so
