He Broke the Bread (The Last Supper)
BibleWithLife

[Spoken Word Intro]

There was bread on the table.
And the cross was already in His eyes.
[Verse 1 - 8,]

The candles were burning low
We thought it was Passover
But He looked at every one of us
Like He was saying goodbye
He said, "I've longed to share
This meal with you, My friends
Before the morning came
And everything would end"
[Pre-Chorus]

We didn't understand
We didn't know His pain
He picked up the bread
And He started to explain
[Chorus]

Then He broke the bread
"This is My body
Given for you"
He broke the bread
He didn't just feed us
He gave us Himself
[Verse 2 - 4]

He took the cup of wine
And held it to the light
"This is the new covenant
Poured out for you tonight"
[Half Chorus - 2]

He broke the bread
He gave us Himself
[Bridge - 2]

He knew about the morning
He knew about the cross
He knew the kiss was coming
He still broke the bread
[Build]

Heaven was leaning in
The cross was drawing near
He gave Himself away
Before the nails appeared
[Climax]

DO THIS IN REMEMBRANCE!
DO THIS IN REMEMBRANCE!
EVERY TIME WE BREAK THE BREAD
HE IS HERE WITH US AGAIN!
[Final Chorus]

Then He broke the bread
"This is My body
Given for you"
He broke the bread
He didn't just feed us
He gave us Himself
[Tag]

He gave us Himself
He still broke the bread
And He gave us Himself
[Whispered]

"This is My body...
broken for you..."
[Outro Spoken Word]

We thought it was a meal.

It was a Kingdom.
He broke the bread...
And He has met us there ever since.
