It Is Finished — BibleWithLife | Christian Worship Music

[Intro Spoken Word]
One final breath.
One final word.
It is finished.

[Verse 1]
The sky went black above the hill
The earth beneath began to shake
The Lamb of God was lifted high
For every sinner’s place
No crown but thorns upon His head
No throne but splintered wood
Yet mercy spoke through nail-scarred hands
And heaven understood

[Chorus]
IT IS FINISHED
IT IS FINISHED
The debt is paid
The grave is beaten
IT IS FINISHED
IT IS FINISHED
The final word of Jesus
Still sets the captive free

[Verse 2]
The veil was torn from top to ground
The way was opened wide
No more shame can bar the door
No more need to hide
The blood that flowed from Calvary
Still speaks a better word
Grace has answered every charge
And mercy has been heard

[Chorus]
IT IS FINISHED
IT IS FINISHED
The debt is paid
The grave is beaten
IT IS FINISHED
IT IS FINISHED
The final word of Jesus
Still sets the captive free

[Bridge]
Not almost done
Not partly paid
Not left unfinished
In the grave
Once and for all
The work is done
Sin has lost
And love has won

[Final Chorus]
IT IS FINISHED
IT IS FINISHED
The debt is paid
The grave is beaten
IT IS FINISHED
IT IS FINISHED
The final word of Jesus
Still sets the captive free
The final word of Jesus
Still sets the captive free

[Outro]
One final word.
It is finished.
