The Giver of the Light — BibleWithLife | Christian Worship Music

[Intro Spoken Word]
In the beginning,
The earth was formless and void.
Darkness was over the surface of the deep,
And the Spirit of God was moving over the water.

[Verse 1]
No form, no shape, no voice, no sound
Just endless darkness all around
A silent, empty, watery space
A shadow on the water's face
The Spirit moved upon the deep
A prophecy was sent to keep

[Chorus]
Let there be light!
A sudden glorious dawn
The darkness shattered all around
Let there be light!

[Verse 2]
The voice that spoke a word so true
Dividing night and day in two
He called the dry land from the sea
And set the sun in place to be
The stars and moon to rule the night
All by the power of His might

[Chorus]
Let there be light!
A sudden glorious dawn
The darkness shattered all around
Let there be light!

[Bridge]
And God saw the light, and called it day
The shadows fled and ran away
He separated light from dark
The first page of creation drawn, He saw it all
And it was good
Just as He promised that it would

[Outro]
Hallelujah to the Giver of the Light!
Hallelujah, all creation shines so bright!

Let there be light!

Amen.
