THE WATERS RISE
BibleWithLife

[Intro]
(Sound of distant thunder and starting rain)
(Deep male narration - Genesis 7:16)

"And the Lord shut him in."
[Verse 1]
(Music in D-Minor, chaotic, string tremolos, tense)

The fountains of the deep burst wide
No refuge left for sinful pride
The windows of the heavens break
The world beneath begins to quake
A wooden ark, a sealed door
Now rises where we walked before
[Chorus]
(Music explodes, massive brass blocks, heavy percussion)

The waters rise! The waters rise!
They drown the peaks, they hide the skies!
The earth is swept in holy fear
Yet in this ark His grace is near
(Heavy accents)

The waters rise!
[Verse 2]
(Music maintains tension, cello arpeggios, steady heartbeat drum)

For forty days the storm held sway
No guiding moon, no light of day
Though winds may roar and billows roll
God keeps the ark and guards each soul
Through judging tides and shadowed seas
We anchor in His promises
[Chorus]
(Music explodes again, terrifying power)

The waters rise! The waters rise!
They drown the peaks, they hide the skies!
The earth is swept in holy fear
Yet in this ark His grace is near
The waters rise!

[Bridge]
(Music stops abruptly. Silence. Solo Violin enters gently)

The rain has ceased, the clouds are torn
A stillness greets the waking morn
A dove set free in searching flight
Returns with promise wrapped in light
The altar flames, our prayers ascend
The Righteous Judge declares an end
[Outro]
(Glorious Modulation to D-Major. Harp arpeggios, soaring strings, warm choir)
(Harmonic stacking on "Look up")

Look up! Look up! The heavens bow
God paints His mercies on the cloud
Through purple, yellow, red, and blue
He seals His covenant anew
No flood again shall destroy with rain
The rainbow crowns the world in grace
(Fade out with a peaceful, wide D-Major chord)

Amen.
