Weapon of Hallelujah
BibleWithLife

[Verse 1]

I've been sitting in the dark
Counting cracks upon the wall
Waiting for the sky to fall
My throat is dry, my hands are tied
I have nothing left to bring
But deep inside this hollow chest
I feel a stubborn urge to sing

[Pre-Chorus 1]

It starts out as a whisper
A spark against the cold
A defiant kind of rhythm
Taking a hold

[Chorus]

Hallelujah in the midnight!
Hallelujah in the pain!
I will sing until the earth shakes
I will sing until it rains
It's not just a melody
It's a battle cry
Watch the darkness shatter
When I lift it high
Halle-- Hallelujah!

[Verse 2]

The shadows try to shut me up
They tell me I should be afraid
But every time I speak Your name
I feel the chains begin to bend
The iron starts to rust and break
The prison floor begins to slide
I'm stepping through the open door
With Heaven fighting by my side

[Pre-Chorus 2]

It started as a whisper
Now it's roaring out bold
A defiant kind of rhythm
They cannot control

[Chorus]

Hallelujah in the midnight!
Hallelujah in the pain!
I will sing until the earth shakes
I will sing until it rains
It's not just a melody
It's a battle cry
Watch the darkness shatter
When I lift it high
Halle-- Hallelujah!

[Bridge]

(Music drops completely. Just a pulsing drum and vocals.
Builds in intensity line by line)
Let the demons hear it!
Let the heavens roar!
I am not a captive!
Not anymore!
My praise is the hammer!
My praise is the sword!
Glory, glory, glory to the Lord!
(Band explodes back in at full volume)

GLORY, GLORY, GLORY TO THE LORD!

[Final Chorus]
(Biggest energy, choir joins in)

Hallelujah in the midnight!
Hallelujah in the pain!
I will sing until the earth shakes
I will sing until it rains!
It's not just a melody
It's a battle cry
Watch the darkness shatter
When I lift it high!

Halle-- Hallelujah!
Oh, Hallelujah!

[Outro]
(Music suddenly cuts out. Haunting, quiet piano.)

The walls are gone.
Just the dust and the dawn.
Hallelujah.
